DPF & Regen Diagnostics in Mississauga
A failed regen is a symptom, not a parts list. We use fault information, live data and testing to identify why the aftertreatment system is not completing regeneration before recommending repair.
When the truck is asking for attention.
Repeated regens or a regen that will not complete can have several causes, including sensor, temperature, dosing, airflow or engine-related faults.
- DPF or exhaust warning lamp
- Frequent or unsuccessful regeneration
- Reduced power or derate
- High soot-load indication
- Fault codes returning after a regen
Find the cause before replacing parts.
The objective is to determine why the system cannot regenerate normally, not just clear codes.
- Review active and inactive fault codes
- Check relevant live data and sensor plausibility
- Assess conditions required for regeneration
- Inspect for upstream engine or exhaust faults
- Verify repair outcome after authorized work
DPF & Regen Diagnostics in Mississauga — answered.
Can you force a regen?
A forced regen may be part of diagnosis when appropriate, but it should not be treated as the repair if the underlying fault remains.
Does a DPF code mean the DPF needs replacement?
Not necessarily. A fault code identifies a system or condition; testing is required before deciding whether the filter or another component is at fault.
Can I keep driving with a DPF warning?
That depends on the warning, fault and vehicle behaviour. If the truck is derating, overheating, smoking abnormally or showing a stop warning, contact a technician before continuing.
Tell us what the truck is doing.
Have the year, make, model, VIN, mileage, warning lights or fault codes, and whether the truck can be driven safely.
