Brakes are the number-one out-of-service item in every CVSA blitz. We measure rather than estimate, and you get the numbers.

Brake work

Measured, not eyeballed.

Every wear item gets a number written next to it, so you can see how much life is left instead of guessing at the next inspection.

Lining and drum measurementThickness and drum diameter recorded per wheel, with remaining life estimated in kilometres.

Chambers and slack adjustersStroke measured, pushrod travel checked, seized and out-of-adjustment units replaced.

Air system leak-downCompressor output, governor cut-in and cut-out, dryer function and full leak-down test.

Valves and plumbingRelay, quick-release and spring brake valves tested; chafed or spliced lines replaced properly.

ABS faultsWheel-speed sensors, tone rings and modulator faults traced with the scan tool, not by swapping parts.

Pre-CVSA blitz checkA full brake pass before the blitz window so out-of-service items are found on your schedule, not the roadside.

S-cam, bushings and hardwareCamshafts, bushings, springs and hardware replaced as sets so the job holds up.

Trailer brake workSame treatment on trailers, including the annual inspection and the sticker.

Do you measure or just estimate lining?+

Measured, per wheel, with the numbers on your sheet. It is the only way to know whether a set has one more season in it or none.

Can you do a blitz check without a full brake job?+

Yes. Plenty of units pass with an adjustment and one chamber. The point of the check is finding out on your schedule.

Do you work on trailer brakes too?+

Yes — trailers get the same treatment, and we can do the trailer annual in the same visit.
